Product Availability and Pricing
If you’re interested in a piece of jewellery that is currently on back order, call us and we can tell you when the item will be back in stock. Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we’re able to post notification to the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item. Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honour inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our diamond and jewellery consultants at info@vancouverdiamonds.ca or +1 (888) 397-0402.

Payment Methods
All our charges are in Canadian dollars (CAD). For your convenience, we offer several methods of payment. Your bank or credit card company will process all charges in Canadian funds, as required by Vancouver Diamonds Inc. Use your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card issued through any US or Canadian bank.
Shipments Are Insured
We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, shipment is always risk-free. For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all Vancouver Diamonds Inc. orders, regardless of any signature waivers you may have with FedEx.
Shipping to Alternate Addresses
If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.
Diamond Certificates
When you order a loose diamond, we ship it to you with the accompanying diamond grading report (also called a diamond certificate). These grading reports are lengthy, detailed documents created by diamond grading experts at one of two highly-respected diamond laboratories — making it very expensive to replace a diamond grading report. Because of this, we require each diamond grading report to be included with each returned diamond.
If you do not include both the diamond grading report and appraisal with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee.
Laser Inscriptions
Many of our diamonds are laser inscribed. If you find a diamond you’d like to purchase but it does not have a laser inscription, we recommend that you purchase the diamond and send it to a diamond grading lab where they can inscribe the diamond for you.
Sales and Price Reductions
We always offer the best value by providing the lowest possible price. All our prices are final.
Viewing Diamonds
Much of our inventory is locally based and is directly accessible for you to view. On occasion and in order to satisfy your needs, we may have to import a diamond from our associate offices in Antwerp and New York.
If we import a diamond for you to view, we will ask you for a 10 percent (10%) deposit which is refundable if you choose to not buy that diamond. The cost of importing/exporting fees and shipping, will be deducted from your initial deposit after 14 calendar days.
Purchasing Diamonds
When you commit to purchasing a diamond, we require a 15 percent (15%) deposit which is NON REFUNDABLE to secure your interest in the diamond of your choice. Although the deposit is not refundable, we will CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE DEPOSIT, to be used against a future purchase.
If you have already provided a deposit as for an imported diamond, an additional amount will be required to bring the deposit up to 15 percent (15%). At this point the total deposit will become NON REFUNDABLE to secure your interest in the diamond of your choice. Although the deposit is not refundable, we will CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE DEPOSIT, to be used against a future purchase.
Custom Designed Jewellery
None of our work is mass produced and is therefore not only a custom design but is also hand made.
Designer or 3D CAD services
In the event of your requesting us to sketch a design and/or provide you with a 3D model of the ring you wish to purchase, we require a 50 percent (50%) deposit. If you do not proceed with a purchase of the custom design, we will provide you a refund less the costs of providing the service/s that you have requested.
Jewellery Purchase
If you purchase a custom-made jewellery item, the total deposit becomes NON REFUNDABLE. Although the deposit is not refundable, we will CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE DEPOSIT, less the costs of providing the service/s that you have requested. We will CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE FULL BALANCE OF THE DEPOSIT, to be used against a future purchase.
Return Policy
To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. Just call a diamond and jewellery consultant at +1 (888) 397-0402, and they will give you detailed instructions. Taxes are refundable if your item is returned through the proper channels. Please note that the shipping and handling fee is non-refundable. Read the details of our 30-Day Returns Policy.
Information on our Web Site
In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, colour and size may vary slightly.
Our objective is to provide you with as much information and detail about your prospective purchase as possible so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item. In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, Vancouver Diamonds Inc. states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight.
On the vancouverdiamonds.ca Web site, we display the dimensions of our products based on the information received from our manufacturers. The width and length stated in the product description may be taken by the manufacturer during the manufacturing process which may lead to a discrepancy in any measurements taken after this process.
Policy on Conflict Diamonds
We only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an international system that polices the trade of diamonds to ensure they are from sources free of conflict. :
